Jason Wu is a Michelle Obama favourite, best loved for his unique tailored, yet playful designs.
Although the brand is only four years old, it is not new to the Middle East…in Dubai it is exclusively stocked by Symphony Boutique.
Wu’s Fall-Winter 2010 collection, is not only bold and gorgeous, it is also the first time that Wu added accessories to his collection.
With the cutest tailored shorts, vivid coloured maxi dresses, strappy heels, bags and sunnies on offer, we know why Wu is such a fashionista hit in New York. There’s no doubt that he will be equally as successful here in the Gulf!
New-York based designer, Christian Siriano (Project Runway winner) showcased a collection inspired by his travels abroad… Asia, the Mediterranean and Africa!
His use of subtle earth-tones and tan leather reflects an ultimate chic resort wardrobe, which screams of discreet glamour.
The collection is available at Symphony Boutique in Dubai.

Sarah Beydoun is the founder and creative director of Sarah’s Bag.
Born and raised in Lebanon, she belongs to a generation of Beirut-based designers who came of age during the country’s fifteen-year civil war and are now contributing to rebuilding the city’s cultural life through their work in various creative industries.
Sarah decided to set up her company as part of a rehabilitation program, which helps women at risk from economic deprivation or the stigma of having served time in prison would learn valuable skills in return for a reliable income and a stable source of pride, dignity, and empowerment.
In the process, these women would be helping to revamp the centuries’ old traditions of artisans and textile makers in the Middle East for the purpose of invigorating contemporary fashion.

It’s not enough that he’s in charge of the creative direction for Chanel and Fendi, he’s now added Italian brand, Hogan, (owned by Tod’s Group) to the niche list of his creative projects.
To be unveiled in Paris on October 2nd, the WOMAN SS 2011 Hogan Capsule Collection by Karl Lagerfeld will be a unique collaboration, which is a strategic move for the International development of the Brand.
What can we expect from King Karl? Fabulous accessories and RTW as well his reinterpretation of iconic Hogan pieces. Also expect a short film to show Lagerfeld’s creative process within the Hogan universe.
Although, this image is not related to the Hogan project, we just love this rock & roll image of Lagerfeld by talented French photographer, Jean-Baptiste Mondino… it reflects the kind of energy which Lagerfeld will no doubt bring to Hogan!
Hogan is available at Mall of the Emirates, Dubai.
